The Pleasant Prairie (Wisconsin) Police Department has released video of a high-speed pursuit that occurred June 28 (2025) and reportedly started with a driver fleeing a traffic stop for a stop sign violation.
Police say the suspect’s vehicle reached speeds of more than 100 miles per hour as the driver tried to flee into Illinois.
Dashcam video shows the suspect’s vehicle swerving around two spike strip deployments before hitting a third.
Despite a right rear tire deflating, the driver continued to flee law enforcement as an officer attempted to box him in with a patrol vehicle, the video shows.
Multiple police vehicles were damaged in the pursuit before the suspect’s vehicle was stopped and the suspect surrendered. He was charged with Felony Fleeing/Eluding, 5 counts of 1st Degree Reckless Endangering Safety, Hit and Run, Possession of Cocaine and Drug Paraphernalia, OWI, and numerous other offenses, police say.
In a Facebook statement the Pleasant Prairie Police thanked the other public agencies involved in the pursuit and its aftermath, including the Kenosha County (Wisconsin) Sheriff's Office, City of Zion (Illinois) Police Department, Lake County (Illinois) Sheriff's Office, Zion Fire-Rescue Department, and Wisconsin State Patrol.
